I provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in the areas of depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, adjustment disorders, personality disorders, drug and alcohol, dually diagnosed, parenting issues, family issues, childhood issues, trauma, abuse, loss/grief/bereavement, women’s issues, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, self-image issues, eating issues, codependency, anger management, stress management, time management, life skills, work issues.
As an African-American woman and a first generation Nigerian-American, I am especially sensitive to cultural issues. My focus in working with clients is to help them gain and maintain control in their lives despite past or present issues, and to deal with those issues appropriately. To this end, I use a variety of theoretical approaches as suits the particular clients that she is working with, including cognitive-behavioral, family systems, structural, psychodynamic, solution-focused, supportive, and strategic.
